Hi.
I've seen a post or two about this in the Multiplayer thread. However, this feels more like a bug and wondered if anyone has a fix for it.

for reference, this video and many others along with news articles are using this method:

[2023 Edition] Baldur's Gate 3 Guide How to Create Full Custom Party

I used the bg3.exe with 4 instances of the game running at the same time to create a full party of custom Tavs. This worked like a charm, till I sent one to the wardrobe to bring in a companion. When I was done with the companion, I kicked them and retrieved my custom Tav from the wardrobe. When i left camp, that companion refused to follow my other party members. Group / ungroup obviously was tried, reloading prior save, ungrouping using waypoint individually, then regrouping as stated in early access forums, nothing.

When I kicked other custom characters to wardrobe and brought them back, they all had the same issue. Now no one will follow the selected lead Tav.

I also tried using a friend to make a custom character with his logged in steam account, and had him leave multiplayer so I controlled his custom Tav, along with my 3 created from the bg3.exe directly. His custom Tav followed no matter what I did (sent to wardrobe, killed then revived, left it at camp, etc.).

So it makes me think it is related to Tavs needing a profile, since launching directly from the .exe file will leave these Tavs with no name. The created multiplayer lobby name usually has a name (example: "wiccangamer33's lobby") but my custom Tav, not loggged into steam said " 's lobby" the name was blank, just had the apostrophe S for the name.
Any time I created a custom Tav with the bg3.exe, they eventually stopped following my lead character. But customs logged in to a steam account worked just fine.
I don't understand why this is the case. I can do anything in the game, like combat, questing, getting approval with merchants and companions; all work just fine, they just wont follow my lead character.

Sorry this is so long, just trying to be thorough.
If I had access to 4 steam accounts to create my custom Tavs, this wouldn't be an issue. I only have the 1 friend that plays this game, all others are busy with Armored Core 6 / Starfield...losers :P lol

Thanks!

Hi,

I think the isssue reported here is the same: Link

Where do you see this information ? Is there a way to edit this information ?

In my case, I have used the same method to create my custom party with 4 characters from the .exe. And I am using only now the steam launcher but I have the issue
- if i left the game without having all the custom characters with me
- if i start a long rest without them
