So I just started, I wanted to make a str based fighter who intimidates his way through dialogue checks, not in a silly way like barbarians seem to do, but more in a serious/sinister/chaotic neutral kind of way. "Move or get split in 2" basically.
To my surprise however intimidation seems to only scale with charisma. Which in a way I understand, but at the same time I feel like your class' main stat should have an impact on intimidation checks. Maybe 50/50 main stat/charisma.
Simple example:
You fought your way through a bunch of enemies, a little bit further you want to enter a village through a gate. There are 2 guards at the gate. You have no time for this, so you simply say "move or meet the same fate as these bodies behind me".
In the case of a wizard with very high int, the fact that he can (and will) burn the guards to a crisp, the same way like he did with the bodies behind him, should really have an impact on his intimidation check.
In the same way a fighter with high strength with a mountain of bodies with crushed skulls and torn of limbs behind him should really have an impact on his intimidation check.
Basically being able to actually back up your intimidation claims (through high main stat aka dmg stat of your class) should have some impact on intimidation checks.
Because no matter how "charismatic" you sound, if the guards see a skinny 1str fighter who can barely hold his sword, they will likely not be very intimidated, even if this dude has a silver tongue.
Just my 2 cents, and maybe something to consider for the devs?
