Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Crash to Desktop problems in Patch 3

This is a disappointing turn of events. This game's been rock solid on my PC since release day, but with the advent of Patch 3 has had dozens of crashes to desktop, and i'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this happening.

Also of note, every time i return to the game after a CTD, it brings up the EULA/gamma setting/explicit content warning like it's the first time I set it up.

Yes, it's been happening to me too.

It seems to happen when the in the use their special "go boom" ability. Can't remember what the ability is called as I CTD every time. Game's been absolutely rock-solid throughout until this started happening, and I'm sooo close to finishing my first playthrough.

I have same issue. 60hours in and it now just crashes and immediately generates bug report when I try to launch from Steam. Can't play at all. Did you find a fix?

Is there a Patch #3?

Same here. Ever since Patch #3 yesterday. Game heats up CPU really fast then a crash to desktop.

Already post yesterday but same here. This is my second run (I'm trying tactician and it's been a living hell) and I don't want it to end with just 3-4 fights left u.u
