I'm sure someone has posted about this but I'll add to it. Even with the hotfix fixing her, Minthara desperately needs more content than what she currently has. We have to sacrifice so much just to get her and we get so little in return compared to any other companion. I know Larian said they would consider giving her more if enough interest is there, but my fear is that interest won't be there BECAUSE her current state is so lackluster. I really hope Larian takes that into consideration when deciding whether or not to give her more.

You and me both, brother. There are plenty of people that want to see a more fleshed out and easier to acquire Minthara companion, so the interest is definitely there. Ideally, raiding the grove should provide some kind of alternate path forward instead of locking the player out of:
-A companion's personal quest
-One of the best vendors in Act 3
-Numerous, small quest arcs and NPC interactions
-Another companion altogether (whose presence inordinately affects the conclusion of Act 2)

Raiding the grove seems like a last-minute addition to Act 1, or something to that effect. Its very, very poorly implemented.

I am helpful, am I not?

I just rescued her, and initially it's pretty good I think. Likely because you have to catch up. But her opinions about the other characters etc, is done well also in comparison to the origin characters.

Sadly it looks like generally speaking, wether you take Minthara or not, an evil playthrough is just not as good as a "normal" one. Even if you are not playing a murderhobo, you kill off too many important side characters (and companions) while there is at least until act 3 no real other evil faction you could gain as an alternative ally (as you are still in opposition to the Absolute). The start of act 2 is really good though, I found that better than playing on the good side. For most things in this game, because it's so fast and has so many options, if you really like thing, you'll feel there is not enough of it. Mine is lack of specific content for high elves for example. Drow is in a different ball park altogether for example, they have more specific dialogue and flavor in the grove alone than high elves have in the entire game.

I doubt they'll be able to "fix" all of that. And maybe they just want you to not be able to get everything in one or two playthroughs. I hope though they can add little bit more for the evil side in the future.

I have to agree with this having just done an evil playthrough and honestly being evil just isn't worth it for the things you lose in the process.

Karlach, Wyll, Halsin, Dammon and a metric crapton of quests and content in general, I'm keeping this spoilers as it'll ruin it for anyone who hasn't got this far and we'd rather avoid that. if you continue being evil in Act 2 that includes siding with the absolutists which means the destruction of last light and possibly Jaheria if you decide to go full on evil only to get sucker punched at the end of the act and end up against the general regardless, we lose a lot for only Minthara as a gain.

As I mentioned above, we lose so much and gain so little so more Minthara content could go along way to helping add some stuff back for the things we lose.
