hi. I installed a mod and I kept getting an error mesasge upon starting the game. the I removed it, and now the game wont even load the main menu. the error messaage says:
"failed to load the game menu from the current game mod. the main menu in that mod requires the level. Make sure to clear any local mods and try again. "

what's going on? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times.

Is the mod still in the mod folder? Try removing it there.
And do verify the game after.

yes i delted the MOds folder and uninstalled and reinsatalled and I did verify the game files, there was no error.

I don't know why this is happening. it worked fine last night up until i added the mod....

any other suggestions?

What was the mod?
Do you have any other mods installed?
Which mod manager are you using?
Why did you remove the mod?
Have you tried reinstalling the mod?
Have you tried running the game directly from the exe?
Have you tried switching to DX11 from Vulkan or vice versa?

Can anyone help me because larian support doesn’t answer and I’m desperate at this point.. after u downloaded a mod and deleted it again I have just kept spawning in a a forest or something with a bunch of naked men if I try to make a new game.. and if i try to play on a game I’ve already started I can’t go to camp.. can anyone please help me!

Without knowing which mod(s) you're using there's basically not much anyone can do to help. Also how did you install the mod, e.g. did you follow the instructions given by the author?

Yes i did, I did the same as everyone else when I started modding the game

What is the mod you uninstalled?

its a lot, and the game worked well while i had them so idk but u want me to write all of them?

Well the thread title says "removing mod" which implies a single mod. If you knew how to use Vortex then you would know that it can produce a text file of your load order. I don't really care what you do as I'm weary of trying to get information but I will give you this:

I can't remember which mod it was but the part about the naked men rings a bell. Try going to the mod page of each of your mods and looking for it in the update or uninstall instructions or maybe in the posts. I saw it recently.

This is what happens if you make a change to your mod list and don't have the mod fixer installed.
