I had acquired two tadpoles before I met my dream visitor for the first time.

I stored them both in a chest in my travelers chest.

After I met my dream visitor I looted the chest from my travelers chest instead of opening it up and looting the tadpoles one by one. When I looted the chest into my inventory it immediately triggered the scene that shows the tadpole in your palm for the first time, waiting to be absorbed happened. I allowed it to happen.

Both tadpoles were used for the scene. Neither were in the chest after I opened it again.

Nevermind. I see how the mechanic works now. I have two tadpoles in the context menu option. This just caused me to be temporarily confused because I was expecting to see two vials. The game apparently auto loots them.
