These flowers show the online-status from users with icq (a very popular instant messenger). red = offline green = online

i dont have icq, is it really that good? It depends if you like mindless chatter a lot. When I was in high school/college I was on it a lot but since I graduated/got married I haven't really touched the thing. MSN vs ICQ is just a personal pref so it'd depend on who you want to talk to and what they're on, but you can use both <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

ICQ was THE thing a few years ago. It was a handy and fun thingy. The versions of the last years got more and more options and extras. A lot of junk no one needs was added. Later on MSN, Yahoo, POW WOW, AIM, and so on... gained popularity. ICQ was bought by AOL from the company who originally designed it about 2 - 3 years ago I think. And It's been going downhill ever since.

You might want to check Trillian ( http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/trillian/index.html) - for connecting to ICQ, MSN, AIM, Yahoo Messenger and even IRC with only one interface.

I just don't use any of those anymore. kinda "grew" out of it. That counts for everything online. Before I joined the old forum I hardly ever came online anymore. Got sooooo bored of everything.

Same here seth, as I grew up it just seemed so darn unimportant. I don't even have a dialup at home anymore, and if I didn't have down time at work I'd never get on....except for work realted stuff (I designed an online program/database for them).
