I've seen a lot of folk complaining Tactician mode is too easy. One very easy fix would be to remove all the metagaming information from player view. I'm talking about the hit percentages, enemy hit points, AC, resistances etc. Having the player know when the enemy has less than 50% HP is fine (that's RAW anyway).

This would also have the byproduct of more closely resembling a true tabletop D&D experience where the players aren't fed a ton of behind-the-scenes information by the DM.

This thread discusses the subject as well. The more I think about it, the more I realize that examine is my number one complaint about the game. Its not just merely it's effect on combat. You can actively spoil quest's plotlines for yourself by examining certain NPCs.

Thanks for sharing that – some really good points in there. The hit percentage is by far the worst offender for making the game too easy in my opinion. And such an odd thing to include in a D&D based game – even if it is a video game and not tabletop. I really think if DOS/2 didn't exist before this it wouldn't have even been implemented.

I agree that we should remove the percentage information because it has made some people complain that they can roll a 1 twice in succession despite having 5 modifiers for a DC 6.

Other information though? hmm.. perhaps tied up to INT score? meaning if you have high INT you capable to understand that this thing affected by this immunity etc.
