Is this a joke post?

Take Karlach, or any Fighter type, but Karlach/Barbarian works best.

Put Maul +1 in hand.

Give boots that prevent being knocked prone.

Have them drink an elixir of Hill giant strength or cloud.

Give greater heal potions.

Have wizard caste Haste on Fighter/Karlach and run far away. (prone breaks concentration)

Have cleric cast Bless on karlach and run far away

RAGE if Barbarian.

or use Oil of Accuracy on Maul +1

Smack smack smack smack smack. Drink Greater Heal Pot between smacks if needed. Smack Smack smack. it WILL be dead before the superheated condition wears off.

Dead construct.

Or Lure it under the anvil and smack it a few times. Although this takes longer I find.

Ask a bunch of people to have all those things?... Not everyone has YOUR inventory lol.

How to do this fight has been on the web for several years and anyone with the wit to use a search engine can find the vids. Same goes for the other vid you have posted on this forum.

I tried it without a guide and thats how I did it:

- first try I tried to lure him into the center and use the hammer, it took a long time and I found it complicated. Then several fire mephit adds showed up and I reloaded.

- Second try: 3 strong characters with hammers where he comes out, one caster at the lava valve. The hammer guys drink a haste potion and attack, the caster used magic missle when not using the valve.
Went down in 2 rounds without problems, even when only one of my chars used a haste potion (forgot it for the others somehow)

My secret weapon in fighting Grym was Mage Hand Legerdomain, which was invisible and could turn on the lava valve when necessary without getting detected. I had 3 people perched on a ledge above to do range attacks, and only one person on the platform to keep luring Grym to the center, made easier with Haste on herself and Slow on Grym. After getting hammered 3 times, Grym was down to about 50 HP. Then the person on the platform used Misty Step to jump to the ledge above to join the other people there, and all 4 people started range attacks to finish it off. The flying mephits that came out at one time were easily dealt with by the ranged attacks on the ledge. And when all 4 people were on the ledge, Grym WAS STUCK in the lava, because it had no one to attack (no range attack, apparently) and didn't know where to go. So its AI pathfinding (or lack thereof) just made it stand still in the lava the whole time. And we just finished it off right there, which took a while even though it was only 50 HP due to Grym's resistance.

There was a 5000 IQ move by someone who just had someone stay on the forge to lure Grym and threw a heath pot next to them. Since the hammer isn't instakill, their crushed body would just absorb the now-crushed healing potion and get up. Absolutely hilarious to see.

I shanked him in 2 rounds, no forge hammer. Just beat him down with potion buffs and Lae'zel with haste and action surge

@Vince_Luca you understand the focus system of this boss means he will move and try to attack only one unit

anytime a character hits him for at least one damage that character becomes the focus... you can simply use a Warlock to tag him with a blast from the other side to draw him away from them

i see you play on easy so wont go into the minons

Luke Skywalker: I don't, I don't believe it.
Yoda: That is why you failed.
