How come it says improper picture type when I have a JPG of the correct size?

where is your picture hosted? is there any restriction from the host server that prevents the pix from showing? can u give us the link so we can try out & see what's the problem? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'am using yahoo as the host because I have no way to upload it anywhere else

Yahoo doesn't support direct image linking. Add ".txt" without the quotes to your link so i'll work.
