Hello!


I recently started a 2nd character because I�m on the third act of my 1st playthrough. Honestly I don�t want the game to end, it�s the first time I�ve played a game where I�ve felt like this haha. Now that I�m starting act 3 it�s coming to an end which is so upsetting. This is seriously one of the best games I�ve ever played. My main save with shadow heart is awesome, she is such an interesting character. I was hoping with my second time playing I could get the same enriching companion experience that I�ve had with shadowheart. I decided to go with Karlach, but after some reading I�ve heard mixed reactions about her character. Is she worth having as a potential romantic companion throughout the game? Or should I wait until more content is released? If not her I might start over and go with someone else instead.

I�m seriously having so much fun with this game, I don�t mind starting over to have a better experience with the companion system rather than something half-baked especially doing another full playthrough. Who knows maybe I�ll try a run with lae�zel I�ve barely even talked to her in either save.

I would advise waiting until they fix her questline. I love Karlach very much and she's my favorite character, however the way her story ends leaves a rather bitter taste in your mouth, particularly if you romanced her. This is a very common complaint about the game and it's likely that Larian will address it in the semi-near future, until then I would advise putting her romance on hold (like basically the rest of the community).

Until then I highly recommend Lae'zel.

I thought they added additional content for Karlach and "fixed" her ending in the last patch. I am in the middle of my first playthrough and absolutely LOVE Karlach!!

That�s what I�ve heard from a lot of people, i don�t mind restarting and just going with lae�zel.

The "additional content" amounted to a 30 second epilogue scene and some additional lines in acts 2 and 3. It's better than it was, but still pretty bad.

That�s crazy! I feel like there�s so much potential in each of the companions. No complaints from shadowheart tho! Regardless of what they do in the future whether it�s smaller updates or DLC I�m here for it. Love this game!
