I've noticed that if I hit an enemy with an active spell with a melee attack that deals physical, radiant, and fire damage all at once, that enemy needs to make three concentration checks to keep the spell. Likewise, if an enemy hits me with such an attack I need to make three such checks. Is this the way it works in 5e D&D or is this a bug?
I haven't caught that myself, but I am pretty sure it's a bug. If it's all one attack just with different die stacked on it, it should be one save. However, if it's multiple attacks or multiple projectiles (say, for example, magic missile) then it should be one save for each attack/projectile.
