Hi, I am having issues with the level 5 skeleton mages. They just royally kick my [nocando]. They are level 5's and really mean. for some reason they just cut me down in melee and do tons more damage in magic combat. While I can usually take one of them at a time, I am at a point where there are like 5 or 6 of them and I just do not stand a chance. Any suggestions on what to do. And yeah I know this is sad to be having this many issues at the beginning of the game but I am lost at this point. Thank you for your time and suggestions. Oh yeah I play a wizard and have the DK set to warrior if that helps any.

What level are you at? I don't remember them being that much of a pain. You could try using a bow or a crossbow to nail them when their running so your DK can catch up to them and start wacking them. hmm..or you could use some kinda spell. And i know the part your talking about..and they are REALLY hard in that particular spot..you could try sneaking in a bit to only attract one's attention...kinda walk away from the general mayham then get out of sneak mode, kill it, and then repeat the process.

Yeah I got my toon with a bow and it does not much matter. The DK gets his but handed to him by the mage, even a single one. I am around level 6 I think, I have not had an easy fight yet. For my spell selection I use a spell that is 3 parts fire and one part earth. It does okay damage some of the time but it seems resisted more times than not. I am so frustrated, I do not have many potions what so ever so I am in a bad situation. I will try the sneak things and see how that works out. Thanks.

Don't worry about it TOO much..when you start getting access to the battlefields you'll probably never had to worry about getting potions again!

As I recall (and if I'm thinking about the same spot as you - you turn north round a corner and there's four of them waiting for you) then what I did was this;

Station one of my characters at the far end of the corridor. Send the other one (the one with better speed) very very slowly up the corridor to attract attention. You should only get one to follow you like this. Then lead it back to the other character. And blast it with missile weapons or magic as much as possible, because if you close to melee it will just lead you back to it's companions, so you want it to stay up your end of the corridor, and only melee it when you'll kill it with one good stroke.

Oh yeah, and heavy use of the space bar to allow refreshing health/mana with potions. I was balsting it with magic with two character that had pretty mcuh no mana at the time.
