Just when I thought Act 3 couldn't be any worse Larian managed to surprise me again.

It looks like you can't just kill Gortash immediately. Doing so will make Ravengard insta-dead,even if you've just talked to him. Mizora then propose her new contract nevertheless - not to save the duke, but to resurrect him.
Ok, I didn't kill Gortash at once. Instead I talked with Mizora, then with Ravengard. Mizora confirmed the duke is "somewhere" and proposed another contract for Wyll, this time a "proper" one, i.e. saving him. I refused, got the usual quest to save him myself, usual dialogues. But upon entering the Lower City - insta-death again, quests failed.

WTF, Larian???

I will try to make a bug report about it.

Some people suggested that this is a bug indeed and maybe entering the Lower City first, then killing Gortash may prevent it.
Has anybody tried it this way?

In the third act, many dialogues are mixed up. The most frequent variant of the dialogue bug: you meet Raphael, send him away, go out - and Gale asks why you agreed to work for Raphael... Many dialogues talk about what I haven't done yet. Sometimes it seems that by my arrival, the location did not have time to clean up after the previous player. Some dialogs turn on at the wrong time. Once the cutscene turned on in the middle of a fight

keep in mind that everything you say will be translated by Google and misunderstood

yeah, I got this one too in this exact play-through frown And yes, there are many more dialogues out of place (chronologically).

During my first play-through, I went more or less standard way of completing the Act 3, so I didn't encounter many bugs or bugged dialogues.
This time just one not-very-standard move makes the game fall apart.

But with the duke this is not just dialogues mixing up. All the related quests are failed, with the respective logs in the journal.

For me it was that
even when I knocked out Ravengard in the fight at Gortash's coronation the game registered him as dead. I assume that's because deciding his fate is an essential part of Wyll's quest. If you kill Gortash at his coronation, before Ravengard is imprisoned and in need of rescuing or resurrection, there would be no deal for Mizora to offer Wyll. So if you want to kill Gortash without the quest glitching you either have to kill Ravengard in the fight or wait until after the coronation when he's no longer in Wyrm's Crossing.
