I would love to hear what do you fellow players think about the balance of racial traits and what are some of the best & strongest race (and subrace) trait synergies with the available classes & subclasses?

II'm not ready to rank races, but I have a certain number of cool combinations.
1. Golden dwarf warior 18 endurance - 160 hitpoints in 12 lvl
2. Monk-wood elf with an incredible range of movement
3. Multiclass rouge + 3 lvl warlock of fiend elf : 24m nightvision in MAGIC shadow + shadow spell + longbow. You can shoot out of invisible zone

I mean Race/class combo I like is lightfoot halfling lore bard - she can do everything and can convince everyone. With the halfling Lucky feat, she never rolls a 1 and she has advantage on stealth checks. I love playing her.
Since I found out, how useful Githyanki racials are - I think, those work well with melee fighters. Lae'zel can nearly reach everything on the battlefield. I myself made a gith mage - has medium armor and all the mobility feats to get out of enemy reach, if necessary.

I wish they had left the racial modifiers alone and kept them as they are in 5E.
