I am currently playing Act 3 with my Gloomstalker/Thief character, joined by Karlach, Shadowheart and Gale.

Since I am nearing the end (I feel), I am already planning for a second playthrough.


This time I wanted to try out a Bardadin, probably Oath of Vengeance Paladin Level 2 / College of Swords Bard Level 10, Strength 10, Dexterity 16, Constitution 14, Intelligence 8, Wisdom 10, Charisma 16, using a one handed finesse melee weapon and a shield.


The second party member will be Lae'Zel as Battle Master Fighter Single Class, because I didn't play her at all during my first playthrough and I also skipped some of the githyanki related content like the creche for example.


But who should be #3 and #4 member?

A Sorc or Wiz and whatever else you want. Monk Way of the Elements gets another effective melee/caster and any Ranger toon gets you another effective ranged. Shadowheart respec'd to Tempest is pretty potent too with some add'l healing.

If you're going to do the roguey things like lockpicking yourself you don't need astarion because that's pretty much all he's good for to me these days. I like to bring Shadowheart, especially for act 2(I respec her light domain) and then Gale. If you'll be playing ranged, you could possibly bring Karlach instead.

I don't like Wyll, myself. I've never done an evil play through, and I've yet to get to the part where I can take Druid B or their fren.

Classic party is Warrior, Priest, Thief, Mage

Since you clearly picked the Thief part and Lae'zel is Warrior, that leaves Priest and Mage.

Since you already picked Gale, this time it would be Wyll.

Priest, start with Shadowheart and replace with one of the two Druids later.
