I have some suggestions about how Battle Master Fighter and Rogue Sneak Attack abilities function. The abilities come their own buttons requiring an action-based attack, which greatly reduces their flexibility compared to the tabletop version (where they are applied after a monster is hit). This was limiting in Early Access, as they could not be applied to off-hand attacks when dual-wielding or opportunity attacks. The latter is especially limiting for a Rogue as it was one of the few ways a Rogue could sneak attack more than once in a round and make up the damage gap with the harder hitting classes. This led me to have similar concerns for the Paladin's Divine Smite, but the new reaction system delivered at the same time as the Paladin class addressed that perfectly. This system was extended to include Sneak Attack (in a way that limited Sneak Attack to once per round rather than creature/player turn) but was never extended to Battle Master Maneuvers. This leads to two suggestions:
1. Incorporate Battle Master maneuvers into the reaction system like Paladin Divine Smite. This will return them to their tabletop flexibility, allowing them to be used with off-hand attacks, reactions and the Larian-created weapon attacks. This one is likely easier to implement, so it's listed first.
2. Allow Sneak Attack to be used more than once per round but only once on any creature/player turn. This allows opportunity sneak attacks or sneak attacks granted by other abilities like Commander's Strike while still allowing the Rogue to Sneak Attack on their turn. This is likely far more complicated to put in place.
The final suggestion is for the Monk class, specifically the Open Hand Monk. Once you get the level 6 Open Hand ability that enhances your unarmed attacks, you'd usually like to use them for every attack. However, this locks you out of equipping a weapon (in this case, I'm thinking of a specific quarterstaff that you can get early on that boosts your unarmed attack) because you can't use your regular action to make an unarmed attack while a weapon is equipped. This means a Monk who doesn't use weapons has fewer equipment slots to get boosts that the other martial classes. To address this, I'd suggest that unarmed attacks as a action be added to the bar for Monks at all times whether or not a weapon is equipped. Default attack could remain the weapon, although an ability to specify the default would be even better.
