Hello. I'm stumped. I've partially solved the ill imps quest - discovered what caused it, went to the chieftans son, who told me to look for the alchemist and that he would mark my map - but I cannot find a mark on my map. I've checked all the caves and holes, etc, that I had previously found, but no joy. Can someone give me a clue where it is? (oh, and that "tame" spider attacked me with no provocation (didn't even realise it was there to begin with) and I had to kill it - was that bad?!)

And does this game run rather slowly? I found the running to be a bit "million dollar man" type, and it seems a bit rough round the edges. Especially that thing where most of your map disappears. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

About the Alchemist : this is a beautiful map made by Hellfighter a german gamer.

About the spider : you failed the quest "lost spider" and it is not important.

I have the same problem, Alchemist is not where he is supose to be.

Did you explore the area before you got the quest to find the alchemist? - I did, now he's not there.

I think you should go to this area only after you recieved the quest to find him - had to go back a looooong way to start again.

The alchemist should be there after you have to quest to find him, even if you had previously been to his cave.

Did you find the ingredients the alchemist wants (Blue Larakiki Root and Grey Quisirisi Fruit) while exploring the forest and move them in your inventory before talking to him? I though that was fixed in one of the patches....

Anyway, there is a solution;


[*] Complete all other quests and save the game.
[*] If you have a save before finding the alchemist's ingredients and moving them, copy the 2 story.* files from that save into your latest save, otherwise you can use these files from a save at the beginning of the imp village.
[*] Talk to Altoflix in the north of the village (if required), then the chieftain's son to get the quest to find the alchemist, talk to the alchemist once (only) and head to the cave he describes.
[*] Continue with the game.

Before and after - still nothing.

But will try the other method - if that does not work, will replay act.

Tried your method, the imp shaman was where he was suposed to be, but I could not talk to him. It may be because I used a saved file before I've entered the imp vilage (it was the only one I had), but will try with a save I now have with the quest to find him.
