It is a MASSIVE problem. I mean, I am playing my goofy future Jack of all trade character in solo and since Patch 3 today, my Owlbear cub is nowhere to be seen in my camp. Am I alone in that situation?

How is Scratch going to survive while I adventure if his best friend is no longer around?
With the effort it took me to clear that goblin camp, please, bring back my Owlbear Cub

After having Scratch bug out and disappear once, I now obsessively check the camp for both pets before leaving.

With Scratch, he disappeared after getting stuck behind the training dummy in the cave-themed camp. If a pet gets stuck in geometry in one camp, they'll be gone from all camps until you go back to the problem camp and free them. I threw the ball for Scratch and he teleported to it. But I've heard using the fog spell on them also causes them to teleport out of the stuck position.

Depending on where to rest, the owlbear cub can just be well hidden. I thought, I lost it once too - turned out, it just sat in a bush

My cub stopped coming by at night with injuries and I’m not sure why.

Also, Volo left after he did the surgery. Where did he go and when will he be back in camp? How will he get the scoop on this adventure?

Volo does leave after surgery. You meet him again in Act 3. I'm not sure why you're expecting the owl bear to show up night after night regularly with an injury?

Are you expecting to see the cub every night? Had the cub even joined your camp at this point? The cub does disappear from the Goblin Camp after rescuing it. It will show up when you rest later. You may have to move the story forward and rest a few times. So long as you killed the mother and rescued it from the goblin camp, it should join.

I have the similar problem here after the owlbear befriended with scratch he disappeared I'm still in Act 1 tho. I've cleared almost everything except underdark but no matter how many long rest it never show up again.

I didn't get the first sentence: did the cub came by with the injured paw? If you treat it, he will stay.
