Once I select the Cross-save option (I also have PS5 copy) game crashes.
After that it crashes every time right after Larian logo, so no way to uncheck this option.
Only deleting "Baldurs Gate 3" folder from Documents/Larian with all the game user settings hepls to resolve this.

If cross-save is not yet supported on Mac please let us know. Otherwise waiting for it to work

Mac users beware!

Works for me. Same situation, my other device is a PS5. Created Larian account, connected both GOG and Playstation, connected to Larian network on PS5, restarted PS5 game to make sure it uploads the saves, then I started the game on Mac, enabled Cross Save (restarted again I think, not sure), then the "load game" button was active and I could play. I played for a bit with no crashes. I didn't test the other way around, loading a Mac save on PS5.

So I guess it's supported, but bugged for you.

That really sucks then. Could it be the cloud saved EA saved data that i didn't manage to delete before it bugged out? Or it didn't save to the cloud back then?

Try with a new account maybe? IIRC you can disconnect the platforms you have counted to your current account. Then you should be able to set up a new one. On PS5 I had to turn off "Connect to Internet" in PS5 settings to force the "Connect to Larian Network" prompt to reappear in BG3.

Managed to resolve it and the issue definitely was connected to my Larian account.
Once I disconnected it from GOG and PS it worked fine, if connected back it still crashed. I deleted my Larian account and made it again with the same email. Everything worked fine now, but didn’t want to sync saves. So, I deleted it again, made an account with different email, reconnected GOG and PS and voilà - everything works and syncs.

Sad it doesn't just say "hey bad email, do another one" instead of crashing on loading

OP is everything still working for you? I swear I didn't have any issues until Hotfix 7 but now I'm having the exact same issue. If I delete my save folder I can get into the game but then when I turn cross saves on in settings it crashes moments later. I'm unsure whether to hold off for another hotfix (I have reported the issue), or delete my account like you did...

Thanks, Max.
Your solution worked perfectly. It stinks having to delete one account to recreate another one with a different email address to get it working again. For me, BG III started the insta-crashing after hot fix #7.
