Hi. Please help me with the following: I am unable to use the minor strength and minor constitution potions in my inventory. They don't show up in the list when you click on the potion icon. I am unable to eat any of the food in my inventory. Instead I get a message about "nowhere to sleep". I am unable to read the messages that flash during battle. They don't stay on the screen long enough. I tried using a resolution that was 800 x 600 instead of the next one up to make them bigger but I still can't see them well enough to use them in battle. I have a 1 point "identify skill" and i still can't identify any equipment. Is there something that you have to do? There is no icon in secondary skills for a weapon. I would like my wizard to use magic first and her bow and arrow second but I have to use the left mouse key for the bow and arrow because there is no right mouse icon for it. There was no locked chest in the first dungeon and there was no locked chest/battlefield key in the arena rooms. At least I could not find them and I looked! Plus I am mid Act 1 and have not found a bedroll to sleep. Thanks in advance for your help. snowwhite

You have to use them from your inventory. They do not show in the potion list.

You only eat food before sleeping. Find a bed or a bedroll to sleep and some food will be consumed.

There isn't anything to do. Try to zoom in on them.

Many items are already identified whereas others require higher level of skill. Make sure your ID level is high enough.

Yes, that is true. You can only fire your bow with the left mouse button.

There isn't a battlefield key in the arena room. You'll encounter it a bit later. Hint: Make sure to click on EVERY key you encounter <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.

You should find it. I don't remember where exactly but how far are you in Act 1?
It should be in one of the locked chests. Try the one in the room on the first level near the bed.

Cheers.

thanks for writing back.

when I click on the potions in inventory that do not show up under the potion icon I still don't get the ability to imbibe the potion, just a drop down list that asks if I want to give it to ...

I read something (in the manual I thought) that said that different foods created different effects. They certainly did in Divine Divinity as I recall.

I am on the level just after the maze in the citadel dungeon. does that mean I missed the only bedroll?

Is there a list somewhere about what the summoning dolls capabilities are? I have a level 3 summoning doll that didn't even try to hurt Veath.... who was way way way above my level when I got there and required vast quantities of potions to vanquish, yet everything else in the battlefield so far was boringly easy.

P.S. Still in act one and the dungeon three over from the start is locked. is this the act two dungeon? Or is there another key somewhere?

thanks again

Left click on the potion in your inventory; it sounds like you are right clicking and getting the item menu.

The first bedroll was in the room across the hall after you jumped down the pit in the arena. There are 2 more bedrolls near the beginning of act 2.

The level 3 BF key for act 1 is found close to the end of the act.

The first level 1 key was in a chest in the starting cell block, on the southern path, partially obscured by chains and steam vents. The key is in the left spider cell in the arena.
