Hola. Just a thought from perusing posts here that it makes sense for players to save a lot of games as they venture onward, and due to glitches or possibilities of screwing something up, just using QuickSave is a bad idea.

What naming convention do you use for your saved games, so you can find the right ones later? Or do you just rely on your most recent saves? And how often do you save?

Use what ever works for you.

After I've messed up I now save before I speak to someone and after a big fight.

same here, when you die, you could lose a lot of time and mount up to a lot of frustration and angryness

I use the quick saves for frequent routine saves--love the idea of multiple quicksaves.

I also save at the end of each days session, labelled by date.

Finally I have saves labelled when something important is about to happen (act change, for example), and (changing "emer-1, -2" etc)saves when I think something could go or has gone terribly wrong and I don't want to overwrite a quicksave I might need.

Obviously, I am an obsessive saver of games.

Like Tiffin, I save quite a bit (and learned a valuable lesson after playing both Gothics. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )

In addition to saving often I save at every level up point and do not delete those. That way I can go back to an earlier part of the game (if I wish) to take the characters in a different direction.

However, I delete my saved games when they build up over time. And if I am trading in the BF, I usually copy over a save called "trading". I do the same after "resting". It's just easier for me and cuts down on making a lot of new save slots.
