Same problem here with Astarion, didn't follow me after the turn mode activate with the shadow curse, i tried the next to solve it by my own:
Send him to the camp and then re-join him to the group: doesn't work.
Fast travel to another zone, he teleports but keeps unfollowing.
Travel though maps by walking through gymforge=>shadow valley and changing zone to mountain path. didn't work either
Ok after trying a couple things here i go, tried combat to check if another activation of turn mode changes bug back, didn't work.
Loaded an early save, it solve the issue and Astarion keeps following me, but in the same moment i finish dialogue with Elminster, it goes back to unfollow me.
Anyone has a tip/trick to solve it? Do i have to leave my vampire husband behind Y_Y
Edit 6-10-23:
After making more test i can conclude that the dialogue with Elminster was the origin (in my case) that Astraion stops following me, i even try changing companion, and it didn't happens, but if i rejoin Astarion to my group, he stay still and didn't follow, i hope this information helps to solve it
