In the BG3 we get the Blood of Lathander(BoL), it is a Mace(1d6 damage) instead of Morningstars(1d8 damage) howerver. It should be a Morningstars for some reason.
1. It has the obvious photo of a Morningstars instead of a Mace. You can also see the BoL has the same picture with the +2 Morningstars in game, and just plus some golden light.
2. From lore of Latheander, he had the legendary Morningstar named Dawnspeaker. It will make sense if the BoL in the Morningstar instead of Mace.
Change the weapon type of BoL to Morningstars pls.

That might make sense, but it's a mace so that clerics can use it. I think that's unlikely to change.

Lathanders holy weapon is a morningstar. He is not called morninglord for no reason .

Fix:

Make weapon a morningstar, Give special ability: If wielded by a cleric you are automatically profincient with the weapon. Works on some armors so why not on a weapon

Both mace and morningstar can be used for the clerics as I remembered. So it doesn't have problem for use.

It's sad that until patch 7 no one find the mistake.

Actually a Cleric can ALWAYS use Morning Star.

They can NOT always use Mace.

If you start as Wizard or Sorcerer and then take Cleric levels, you will be able to use Dagger, Quarterstaff and Light Crossbow, as well as Flair and Morning Star. But not Mace.
