What is the significance of items that cannot be sold to a merchant? I have the following now to name just a few:
Rope--of course
Chemist's Powder, Chemist's Herbs, Chemist's Tools, etc.
Odd Looking Gem (I had nine originally and two disappeared!)??
Leather Gloves, Marksman's Friends -- Ranger Set (White lettering--not colored as Unique or anything else)
Golden Jug--actually THAT is what I should use to carrying leftovers around with from act--weighs less and you can't break it accidentally like I have done with countless barrels.
Rusty dagger
Magic Sword (Green)
Bottle (White colored) So far in Act II empty bottles, mugs, etc. can still be sold but not this one?
I hang on to these sort of things because I think they might be important and that is why the merchants won't buy them--they tie into a quest or something and are not somehow useless--but I just don't know for sure.
***BUT, would a general rule-of-thumb be that if you click on an item and it doesn't disappear to your inventory then you DON'T need to drag it to your inventory?*** Simple minds want to know these things...
How many items can you put inside a container? What are its limits?
Now, about those 7 remaining Odd Looking Gems?? What are they? I'll just hang on to them like the other things that don't sell and see if any more disappear on me.
