i thought it odd how zandalor was down there looking for an amulet. i forgot about the quest and never solved it. was that REALLY zandalor? i figured it might be some kind of a trap

No its not really him, He turns into a Hostile wizard <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mage.gif" alt="" /> after you gave him the amulet.
