Any tips on killing the Imp Shaman?

I've tried using Nature's Hammer (level 2), but that doesn't freeze him for very long. My major problem is that he appears to be immune to damage. DK, wielding a big sword, can't touch him at all. My mage/archer can hurt him (interestingly, only normal arrows do any worthwhile damage - any other arrow I use, even ethereal or bone, are nothing more than a minor tickle), but this means that my mage/archer has to both cast Hammer to freeze him, drink potions to restore her mana, and inflict all of the damage on the Shaman, assuming she hits. And the bottom line is that i don't have time for this - sooner or later either I miss cast, or he gets his Heal spell off, or sometimes he just seems to not mind the Hammer spell.

The only thing I can think of to try is to go back a couple of levels, or buy back skill points, and boost my Hammer ranking further than it is in the hope that this will keep him frozen for longer, but even then that doesn't get around the problem that he seems so close to unhurtable.

I'm beginning to get frustrated with this fight.

The shaman has very high immunity to certain kinds of damage. If you're using a shadow or bone weapon with your DK, you won't be able to heart him. Switch to piercing/crushing/slashing damage (and make sure your weapon of choice is properly sharpened).
There's been a lot of discussion about this already, so I'd recommend you do a search with "shaman" subject.

I can't see what the problem is, I had no problem to kill him.
I've used Hammer (level 2) and lightning storm (level 2).

I killed him with a Two Handed Slashing type sword he died quikly.

Try to melee it with DK and your own char, use Two Handed weapons and he falls soon.

The major problem was that DK couldn' hurt him with the weapon he had, which meant my archer/mage had to do it all. In the end I went back to the battlefields and bought a cheap mace for DK, and let him use that instead, which allowed him to do something in the fight other than consume healing potions.

he was somewhat tough, given his resistances, but every amount of damage helps. insect swarm was a very useful tool against him. i also had every doll out that i had at the time dinging him, as well as the death knight.

The imp shaman is a pussy! I killed him with maybe 4 hits, 2 handed slashers unsharpened, spells suck [nocando] on this guy, switch to a bit brute force for this egatistical maniac.
