Pretty much the title, allow me to elaborate

Just taken my first long rest in act 3 & Lae'zel tol Vlaakith where to go, after the scene a few party members have exclamation marks above their heads, one of them is Gale.

To my surprise he starts bemoaning me for signing some sort of contract & giving away "our greatest hope of salvation" ??? Looking at my replies, it clearly involves Raphael, yet I last saw him in act 2 & have not seen him since.

So naturally, this must be some sort of event later in the game.

Also, if I ignore this conversation & end the day, the next time I speak to Gale, he mentions Lae'zel's actions, nothing about this "hope of salvation" so is it a conversation I can ignore? Has anyone else had this happen?

Gale's dialogue is completely busted since Patch 3 dropped. He rambles about all manner of unrelated nonsense now.

From what I've noticed Gale acting like you've signed a contract with Raphael that you haven't has been around for a bit now and isn't an exclusively recent bug. To my knowledge, if you just ignore his exclamation point and long rest without talking to him he'll never bring it up again (At least it worked like that for me and some others).

I suffered this bug even in Patch 2. Just got to this part in my current playthrough, now Patch 3, and it's still bugged. I've reported it, but never got any kind of reply or update from Larian. I hope more people report it and they finally fix it whenever Patch 4 comes around. I have found, regardless of spoilers, that it has no consequences in the playthrough though. If that helps. You can choose to talk to him, go through the conversation and choose whichever replies you wish, or ignore him completely. Nothing affects the eventual quest.

Gale had said the same to me, even if I rejected/refused Raphael's offer. This was after Patch 3 for me, I figured it was a bug.

My incident with Gale happened at the right time about the wrong thing. After I spoke with Raphael I didn't sign the contract and Gale had the conversation with me complaining about how I signed the contract.

I also had another character talk to me about something I hadn't done yet either but I can't remember at the moment.

Supposedly this was fixed in the first big patch but it still happened to me again in my second play through. He also talks about Moonrise Towers when youre in Wyrm's Rock Fortress. He's a mess.

Yeah, I've had this in both my play throughs (so before and after patch 3) - both times it only occurred for me the first long rest after I intimidated Scratch's trainer into leaving.

This happened in my first playthrough.
