Personally I wish there was more of it; like a lot more.

I want the voice to be obnoxiously present, like having a 5th party member weighing in, both early and late game.

Outside of main quests that are directly relevant, a specific place in Act 3, and sniffing out tadpoles, there are long stretches of the game where I often forget I've even got a backseat passenger watching over me.
So in moments when I hear a random "Don't do it!" it makes me want to disregard any potential danger or in-character choices and Do The Thing anyway, just because it's the only way to initiate interaction.

I guess I just wish there had been an option during one of the early dream sequences (and again later in the game) to encourage/discourage getting more banter and advice in the overworld so I could choose to act on or disregard it like I do with input from any other party member.

Like I understand that his interest lies solely in self-preservation, but he would know that endearing himself to the person who his hope of success hinges on would help with that.
If Tav is looking for advice and guidance I'd think he'd be wise to jump in and offer it, even if his input is just vague platitudes and affirmations since he doesn't ultimately care about the outcome of things that don't directly affect his survival.
Gaining Tav's trust and approval DOES affect his survival though, so I'd think he'd look for opportunities to fish for easy approval points where he could get them (unless told to back off), but we only get this at set intervals during dream sequences even though he could technically ping us whenever.

Like in my play right now he's commenting on critical misses during this fight at the goblin camp, but once I move on I know it's going to be radio silence for like 10 hours of gameplay. It's pretty inconsistent.

Maybe listening to his advice enough would have him offer what's effectively free mind-reads out of it, like when he accesses Gortash's intentions for an alliance.
I'd have loved to hear more interjections like that.

Truly? I want him to shut up and I wish Tav could tell them to stop talking.

"There's a tadpole brimming with power . . . " Stop. That's getting really annoying, I'm not going to make my infection worse, that would be stupid.

Even after you make it clear you are out to kill him he keeps acting like you are allies but Tav doesn't have an opportunity to say "shut it"

Yes, more comments by the Guardian on main plot relevant points would be great. I appreciated his Gortash insights during the conversation in Wyrms Rock, and would love more like those.

Agreed, but I think more diverse dialog and not just 10x times "try again", "there is a tadpole. Check it out" (it is ok to make people aware of that but mabe if we could control it somehow like saying I don't care and then he won't bother us with it anymore). But both the dream guardian
and the Emperor
voice is so good, can't get enough.

The guardian is a character I wish didn’t exist at all. Adds a needless character and makes a part of the plot far more convoluted than it needs to be. Also who he is supposed to be makes very little sense with the timeline

That is fine but now he is there and there are people who enjoy him/her. The timeline is indeed a mess and I hope they correct it with a later edition (hopefully rework the cinematic too or make it work with everything else).

Personally I found him extremely tiresome in act 3 where he has the most presence, so I really don't want them to add even more of him in acts 1 and 2.
