Hi everyone, kinda on my last legs here.
I had to reset my PC the other day because it wouldn't start (it's had issues forever), so it basically uninstalled everything but kept my files.
BG3 will not open after this reset. The game won't even start, it just goes straight to the bug report menu. I deleted all of my mod files, did a clean uninstall and reinstall, and verified the integrity of the files, but still no luck.
I have it installed on an external drive since I play on a laptop, but I've never had trouble with that before.
I love this game so much and I'd be absolutely heartbroken not to get to play again. Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm sorry if I've missed something obvious, I'm not particularly tech savvy And I'm exhausted after all the trouble my computer has given me over the past week....

If you haven't already, try bypassing the launcher by going directly to the .exe file, and try running it as admin. Also double check if your graphics card drivers are up-to-date, I had a similar issue on launch day and updating my drivers fixed it.

What did ”clean uninstall” mean for you? I deleted/cleaned all remants of the game setting files, lainchers etc from main drive also? Not just the game files on the extrenal drive?

If you did not clean you main drive (usually c-drive), you could try that.
