I ofcourse agree, also because esp in BG3 there is not much of good equipment, so the starting "white" equipment is what you will get for a long time and some of the hats are really cool, but you can use only some purple variation in Act 3 or something. There is too few pieces of magical equipment generally. And if it was meant to upgrade it with crafting, which would feel better I guess than overflow the game with all kind of equipment drops, it seems like it was scratched because of meaningfull shoppers, but they usually just sell +1 armors crap. There is a very limited quest option for a masterwork weapon, which is outdated when you finally get it even, but nothing for green +1 equip. So maybe if not transmog, then it would be better for Act 1 for shoppers to sell an equipment with a skill slot/special function and let me upgrade it with currently disfunctional furniture to plus 1 - I think I saw disfunctional grinding stone in Blighted village.

I agree wholeheartedly!

I feel like the lack of this feature is what's keeping me from really getting into this game (which is silly, I know, but every player is different). Just google "bg3 wave mothers robe" to see some of the more ridiculous looks that you can end up with for your characters if you simply want to use a good wizard robe that you picked up. The result overshoots immersion-breaking so much that it goes all the way to the moon and back. Also, as a monk or barbarian, there really aren't any good-looking clothing options in the game at all so allowing us to use our starting gear as cosmetic clothing would be nice.

Playing Dnd is all about having your character and being immersed in it and the world so allowing us to customize the looks and clothing for that character more without sacrificing the thrill of finding new gear is really important! So it's clear that this should be something that you should focus on for the next patch, now that we have the magic mirror.

Apart from transmog, I would also love some more capes and clothing options, thanks! laugh

Agreed! This has come up a few times under EA, but was not listened to.

Being able to play Space Barbie was one of my favourite features of Star Wars The Old Republic which had one of the best transmog systems I know of. In a game that sells itself on its cinematic cutscenes having a good looking character is key for a good experience IMO. In the year 2023 you really should not have to compromise between stats and good look anymore in an RPG.

While we're at it I would love some more options for camp clothing. Everything is way too "city-born human" and most of it upper-class. I ended up stealing companions' clothing.

My first character was a barbarian and the lack of cool looking clothing was really grating after a while. So much so, that I ended up modding, though I really wanted my first experience to be mod-free.

Another option would be to add runesmith like in Torchlight - you could extract a skill/passive from an armour you like and add it to the same kind of amor you like the visuals. But also I would prefer just an upgrade for a cool armor with good skill for a paladin, because there is no good replacement later on, just an armor for a different class.

Right now there are 1, sometimes 2 kind of armors for each class scattered around, but you are not always able to get it, also when you get it is quite too late. Also purple Adamantine forge in Act 1 is quite OP, but you may not like the visuals. But you have to wear it anyway. Atleast it is universal, so you can give it to a companion.
in act 1 - there are 1 kind of class green armors for almost all classes, and quite a lot of weapons, some blue weapons, so master weapon at the end of act 1 is a bit too late.
in act 2 - some green variations, which are useless, because it should be blue
I didn't play act 3 yet

There is some equipment for monks and minstrels, but if I don't play it and there is no companion for it, it is useless even if I would like the visuals.

I really love drow armor with my drow, it does look cool, but I would love to be able to wear all kinds of armors for all races.

I really wish I could have drow armor as starting armor for a drow Tav. It would be great if you could choose between two starting armor visuals - race and class.

Transmog system would be a great addition to the game. There is a pretty good workaround with this mod (if you're so inclined to mod your game): https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2922

There are a few transmog mods, actually, but this is the one I use and it works well for my purposes. Also note that there are dependencies and a bit of learning to do on the subject of how to mod correctly, so be sure to do your own research and back up your saves if you're implementing mods mid-playthrough!
