Hi,
2 things happened.
1. I went into the sacred pool area and Volo approached me. I hit quicksave before conversation began because I was done playing.
2. Latest hot fix installed

Then I reload ANY save game and I can’t read plaques, talk to party members, who can’t even click on me. They can hit me I can attack anyone. I can’t talk to volo. I can go to way points but I can’t go to camp. Pickpocketing volo or anyone doesn’t work. I stole the idol and killed Khaga and no one attacked me back. So I hope I don’t have to start over again. Some people have this bug in act 3. I couldn’t image starting over. If anyone can help. I know there are many suggested solutions but I can’t get any to work.

I am having a similar bug but I am almost done Act 2.

Hovering the mouse over characters shows the dialogue icon, but clicking on them does nothing. I discovered the bug on a different save that I was trying out some mods so I thought it was those, but it still happens on my no mods save, even after deleting them. On the mod save I also cannot fast travel or travel to the camp at all.

I've seen 1 similar post about this on Reddit, and it seems to be related to the latest Hotfix update. Hopefully they can get it fixed soon.

This sounds like something that verifying your game files or reinstalling the game might fix, if it's preventing your from loading old save files that were working before.

Thank you. I’ve tried every suggestion except verifying and reinstalling. I deleted all files from the current level folder.
I will try verifying/reinstalling and report back. Because the weirdest thing of all is how past safe files also got corrupted by cutting off conversation with volo.

Ok. I verified all files and I still can’t talk to anyone. Then I completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled it fresh. And I still can’t talk to anyone. Apparently Larian took my bugged save game, copied the bug and inserted it into all my prior saved games. I waited over 20yrs to play this and I refuse fo go back to the beginning, …. Especially when Larian hasn’t helped me or anyone else having this same problem and it can just happen again. Do they have a phone number?
