Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Save Failed: Error 558

Since some other people have already posted about this on Steam and Reddit, I thought I'd post here too. I have tried to do thorough research to find nothing so far. I thought I'd post what I know and what I don't, in hopes others will be able to help me out. Blatantly, I cannot save no matter what. I also don't know what error code 558 is . Others have had this issue with no solution and I have tried everything possible to fix it (stuff to fix 516, 524, 523, etc.) and it is not fixing the issue. So far the only thing that has worked is to restart a character and then it saves a new game. (This has only ever happened to me after Hotfix #9). Any info/suggestions from others is greatly appreciated!

Same here man and it's super frustrating. I've put in a ticket with Larian with no answer yet. I'm on PC and this has happened to my second character in act 3, what's weird is it seems to be region specific. I found out I can travel back to the Rivington area and save. I even venture forth complete some quests and travel back to Rivington and save. Those that have beat the game can understand this isn't a viable way to play. I'm pretty reluctant to put in many hours on a third play through bc that would really suck for it to happen again.
