I have a million complaints about the UI and inventory system. Most of them would probably take some coding effort. This one would not.
Looking for things in your inventory sucks, and it's an extremely common task. Looking for a particular scroll? Trying to swap rings? Well unless you have the teeny tiny icons memorized, you are reliant on the tooltip description. However, when you mouseover or switch to a new item on the controller, there is a delay (seems to be a few hundred milliseconds) before the tooltip appears. This one little things slows things down to a crawl. I suggest setting that mouseover delay to 0 milliseconds. There's really no need for a delay at all, and it would speed things up tremendously.
