Well finally picked up the game and am getting use to the new format. Longer I play the better it gets.

I have reached level 11 but am in a fix where the guards do the target practicing. Seems there is a door that is wired with 2 wires running north and also south. Plus there are 2 locked doors in the area also. I've explored all the areas and have a saphire and silver key which does not fit anything here.

Any suggestions??

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill, because they pissed me off.

If the locked doors are the ones I suspect, they are only available if you talk to a NPC and take his challenge. Not possible to do unless you go in with the disguise to avoid combat. Nothing useful behind those doors, though.

The wires running from the locked door you must go through lead to the four corners where there are four levers. Each utters a word when pulled. They must be pulled in the order that causes those words to form a sentence ("beware of the traps").

Hint - that is REALLY good advice.

The answer is in the order of the 4 levers at the corner rooms in the practice area. Pull the levers in specific order, you will get it 1-"beware", 2-"of", 3-"the", 4-"traps" this will open the doors for you also in northeast corner talk to gaurd washing dishes he has info about traps in that area...

Thanks for the information. I've been to the 4 rooms but guess I was to tired to figure out the minor clue.

Well it seems that all the guards are dead. I did not disguise myself and killed them all. Will this effect the area? I can get uniform and wear it.

Thanks again.

By not using the disguise you lost a bunch of potential experience points - but in the long run not important at all. There were a bunch of quests that you needed to speak to people to get, and to receive rewards for. No quest reward objects of any importance (the best reward the guy dropped when you killed him anyway).

You also missed out on trainers for certain skills, but again, unimportant in the long run. You can pay a bit more and learn the skills in the Battlefields if you need to.

No impact whatever on the overall plot.

Think I'll look for an older saved game or might even restart the game.
