I have the key for the second Battlefield but when I went to enter it I ended up in the first one which I finished. I thought the Battlefields were randomly generated. So, if anyone could explain to me what happened and how to straighten this out I would appreciated it.

There are 3-6 dungeons

"Unlocked battlefield 2" Means in this case you have access now to the second dungeon on that Battlefield. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

And just to confuse things, there is a bug whereby a dungeon is generated empty! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

So you might find a 'new' dungeon and still discover that it's empty - and assume that you must have cleared it already.

When this happened to me I could pick the problem as there were still items in barrels etc and no signs that I'd been through before (i.e. no rejected junk lying around) just no monsters at all on all 3 levels.

Thank you for that advice. The dungeon I was in must have been the next one but "bugged". Oh well! I'll go through it anyway.

I'm having this same issue. I have 3 dungeon entrances and cleared the first one with the first key. I now have the 2nd key and the only one open is the same one as I cleared before. Should this be the new one also or should it open another entrance?

Each key should open a new dungeon.

You also get a 'second chance' if you missed a key, as the higher level keys open the previous dungeons too. So if you found the Level 6 key in act 2 I think that it should open them all.

However, if you're in Act 1 you can find TWO keys for the same level 1 dungeon for some reason. So it's possible that you found the same key twice, if you see what I mean.

You should be able to check somewhere. I think you get a tiny number and/or pop-up on the square that you click to get to the battlefields from the main game. That should say what level keys you have. If it says 2 then 2 dungeons should open.

For some reason (on my patch version anyway) the numbering doesn't seem consistent if you are actually in the BF. In other words, in the main game it reports level 2 (or whatever) yet still says level 1 if you check when in the BF. Not sure if this is a bug, or if it refers to the act you're going back to or what.

There are 2 level 1 BF keys in act 1 because the first one is fairly hard to find. The exit BF icon always says level 1 because there is only way to exit.

Either I missed a spot last night or after getting second key it opened up another area in Battlefield 2. Probably the first one. Weird thing was my map got all weird and went black again like I hadn't been to all the areas. Also last night the bottom half was the first level of the dungeon. So the map showed the upper half of the Battlefield playfield and lower half the first level of dungeon. Well after remapping it I was able to get to lower half and found the other 3 entrances. All map is uncovered and looks good.
