Hello. I think the ironhand gnome quest line may have been bugged in my savestate due to one of the hotfixes, but I'm not actually sure if the bug came from updating the game or not (wish there was a way to revert to previous game update and test this on console, but alas).
Bug began for me in Act 2 but I thought it was working as intended as I was able to complete the "Rescue Wulbren" quest. I rescued Wulbren and all of the tieflings, having them fight on the docks and killed all the paladin guards.
Couldn't talk to Wulbren at Last Light Inn, but Barcus came over and started the cutscene where Wulbren was a big jerk to him. Quest completed. I try to talk to Wulbren after and he just says "Later!" or "Not now" with white floating text (not actual animated speech). This fit his snobbiness so I thought he intentionally wouldn't talk to me.
Now in act 3. All the ironhand gnomes in the hideout urge me to talk to Wulbren, including Barcus. But when I try to talk to him I get "Not now" floating text still. I tried stealing in front of him to "unfreeze" him. All the gnomes go hostile temporarily and I cast invisibility. When the gnomes go back to friendly/interactable, Wulbren sprints *all the way out of the map* and does not return.
I tried entering turn based mode and talking to him while he was running and he still says "Not now."
