Ok i tryed Wisdom earlier and i was recieving 949 exp per kill, i put 3 points into wisdom, and i still get 949 exp per kill? is this skill like lockpick and not work as well or am i missing something? (yes i accepted the skill changes and it was at wisdom +3).

Thanks,

nope! wisdom works fine..
you leveled up?
you level up! you get lower exp from same kills! so if you put points to wisdom and level up you get 949 xp per kill but without wisdom you get lower then 949xp!

I understand that i get less exp as i lv up. But i had these points saved up, so im half way to lvl 13 or 14 when i decided to try it.

It must work - my hero had the skill for a short time before my DK, now my hero has more xp's than my DK.

the xp displayed on the game screen is the base xp.
your xp is incremented with that xp PLUS the percentaje of wisdom.

ex: a monster gives 720 xp (the green text that raises when u kill it). but the character with wisdom +1 receives 727 xp (7 beeing 1% from 720)

Who got the killing blow in, the character who learned Wisdom or the other? If the character with the skill kills a creature, the experience listed should include the Wisdom bonus (it did when I checked out the skill under (IIRC) v1.3 anyway).

I tried the same "test" as the original poster of this message and found similar results. How come the total XP value (including the gain from wisdom skill) of the monster that I killed doesn't register?

In a new game started under v1.45 (and hex edited characters to proceed faster), I learned Wisdom in the BF and re-checked it. There was no experience bonus with the couple monsters I checked, so one of the later patches appears to have broken this skill.

So Wisdom is a broken skill in v.1.45 patch?

No, Wisdom works fine. I thought in an earlier version the total experience (base and bonus) was listed after a kill, but I just checked v1.1 and only the base experience scrolls up the screen. The bonus is added correctly to the experience total for the character.

Just for stupidos like me, Raze:
let's say, I kill a monster without wisdom and get 100 XP (easy maths for me, ok?)
At lvl 1 wisdom, I get 1% bonus => so the screen says 100 and I can use my calculator to see, I got 101, right?
At level 2, I still see 100 for the same monster (I reloaded and have the same level), but my calculator shows me, I have 2% bonus now => 102?

Did I understand this correctly?

Yes, that is correct. You can see the experience bonus if you check the inventory screen and get the total experience before and after killing a monster, but the experience that scrolls up the screen is just the base experience with no bonus added.

With your example, if one character had just learned Wisdom to level 2 and killed a monster that gives 100 experience points, you can check the inventory screen and see that that character now has 2 more experience points than the one who did not learn Wisdom.

Does it round up? If I get 1090 as a base killing XP => do I receive 10 or 11 pts additionally at wisdom lvl 1?

It rounds down, IIRC.
