Playing coop this weekend, we ran into a confounding multifaceted bug in cutscene dialogue.

In one variation, the game gets confused as to who is talking. I can start a conversation, and at some point I'll hit a place where it simply says continue (which happens when you are not the person doing the talking.) Except, if I look over at my wife's screen, which sits right beside mine, I can see the five choices I'm supposed to make. She can vote on which choice to make, but not make the choice. Instead, my "continue" becomes choice 1 if I hit continue. As I understand it, that bug has persisted for a while, so fine, annoying, but whatever.

Then we hit case 2 which is far less fine and beyond annoying. In several instances, the dialogue choices presented were different for each coop member. My choices, as the party face, were completely different than the choices on my wife's screen, which were then completely different from those our friend saw. We had no idea which choices were the correct set.

In yet another variation, my wife saw choices 1-3. She thought she said #2 only to discover (after the fact) her number 1 and 2 choices were reversed from what the rest of us saw and she ended up choosing the opposite of our intended choice. The issue persisted upon reloading which is how we discovered her choices were reversed.

I don't know what causes it, but in a game where dialogue choices matter and have consequences that can span the entire game, it's a major issue.
