there are three mages in act 3 that carry a skillbook and i've got all four of them now but when i wanted to learn "hurricane" (shaman magic) i just disappears! can anybody explain me how this could happen? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" />

What disappears? The book or the skill?

The books are supposed to disappear when you click on them in your inventory to 'read' them. You get a quick look at what you learnt and then it vanishes.

But when you next go to spend your skill points the new options should be now available on the skill trees.

Apologies if you already knew all that, but if you definitely saw a certain skill listed when you clicked, and it never showed up, then it does look a bit like a .... bug.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Paladin, check if you have "Wind of Furies" in your magic skill table - it's under Shaman Magic. Hurricane is supposed to be this one.

Also if you havn't updated BD seems to glitch, when you learn a skill from a npc or book sometimes it doesn't work and you can't learn it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

Do you have the 1.45 patch installed?

Did you have the book to read, which then disappeared but gave you a window showing you what you learned?
