Any useful battle strategies for beating Samuel on the 4th floor of the Raanaar training building?

If you have a warrior character, have them melee Samuel, but they will need a high accuracy in order to hit him frequently. A good sharpened weapon can do nice damage to Samuel. My warrior also had high shield blocking skills, so Samuel rarely hit him(except for the spells). If your warrior has a high resistance, that will limit the damage that Samuel does with his spells. It also doesn't hurt to have a few healing potions as well.

If your other character is a archer/wizard, put them in sneaking mode, and position them away from Samuel. This way, Samuel will not attack the archer/wizard, nor will Samuel's area effect spells affect the wizard/archer. The archer/wizard will be free to unload with spells or arrows without any chance of harm or having their attacks interrupted by Samuel.

I fought and killed Samuel using my PC as a warrior, and the DK as an archer. If you have a wizard, use the hammer spell to soften up old Samuel.

Good luck!

Tomcat's advice above is pretty much exactly how it panned out for me too.

The great advantage of the hammer spell is its capacity to stun, so if you have a few mana potions to keep refreshing the spell, you can keep any enemy pinned down while you plink away with swords, arrows, or whatever else you've been using.

I had an axeman/mage up front and an archer (DK) in support, so old Sammy was taken down without much trouble. It still took a while, but it wasn't all that stressful.

I get where your coming from w/ the sharpening skill..so i guess i'll try to level up some more by going to the dungeons for this act (which i havn't done any of them so far) so i'll work on that and my DK's accuracy. Thank you for the advice

What classes are each of your characters? Is your PC a Wizard, warrior, or archer? What is your DK? What type of weapons, or spells are you using? If we had more info on your characters, we could give you even more help.

Let us know, if we can help you further.
