Having a mod making tools for developers can make the community more thrive and longivity. Elder scrolls V is a good example. I hope we can have as many types of mods as Elder scrolls V. So developers from community can make all kinds of storys on your map and engine. It will make Baldur's gate a real city, a real world.
Right now we have no way to edit UVs on meshes, cloth physics (which by extent could be body physics) don't work with current gr2 export tool, and armature/animations I think are problematic or impossible to edit too. All of those fixed would improve massively on ability to mod.
