I started a playthrough to see what would happen if I saved Halsin and Minthra. I convinced Kagha not to join the Shadow Druids. I rescued Halsin in the Goblin prison, then I traveled to Moonrise and rescued Minthra. When I returned to the Goblin village Halsin is dead. I return to the Druid Grove and the Tieflings are gone. I talk to Nettie and inform her Halsin is dead, but when i talk to Rath he only responds that he hopes we find Halsin. I understand I cannot have both Halsin and Minthra in the same camp both as companions, but it should not make saving the Tieflings and then later Thaniel impossible. I would think that the game is flexible enough to allow for more than a linear playthrough. Thoughts?
