Since starting the Final Version of the game (after having played Early Access and not experiencing this problem at all), companions during their cut scenes will occasionally but consistently experience eyebrow/cheek/expression jitter. I don't believe it's a problem with my computer specs since I'm now in Act 3, Lower City and haven't experienced performance issues yet. I've been looking but I haven't seen anyone else posting about having a problem like this?
A little afraid that I might have to delete/reload the entire game to fix it. Hoping maybe there's another way?
I'm also getting a moire pattern on close ups during cut scenes. Not on the character panels though. I'm on an M1 Max with 64gig ram, with game defaults set for graphics. Things were fine pre-patch.
Having the jittery facial animations as well. They have been occuring since the first day I played the game. Now with patch 4 I also get the moire pattern in close up scenes. Evertyhing else is fine performance wise. Running the game on a M2 Max with 32GB.
This is happening for me as well ever since Patch 4. I submitted a bug report but am posting here to bump this thread to bring more visibility to this issue. I hope someone at Larian will see. It's happening on Patch 5 as well and the hot fixes haven't fixed it yet.
Turning Settings > Graphics > Animation Level of Detail to medium (was high) helped with the facial twitches on mine (M2 Pro, 16gb)
With it at high faces were very twitchy and Astarion's seemed the worst affected. The poor elf looked like he developed a severe facial tick from all the stress. Might be the same thing? Though I'd noticed that a long while back and don't remember which patch so if this is new it may be something else but worth a try. I also didn't notice map ripples.
Still seeing this as of patch 7, on 2 M1 Maxes, with 32 and 64GB of RAM. Face twitching, not map ripples. Ticking down the animation LOD makes it less severe, but it still seems to be there. Are we just permanently stuck with this?
