Why the hell can't we ask Haarlep this with the Speak with Dead spell?

Kinda makes no sense that I have to get railed by the creepy bastard instead of just being able to ask his corpse, unlike nearly any other instance.

Well technically with the spell he tells you that instead. At the very least I would like to be able to use this alternative information in the final dialogue with Raphael. I too do not want to be railed by the creepy bastard.

Also what is up with the Harleep scene in general

This is because Larian have decided, in their fun-loving wisdom, that if you have a 'strong' body type, regardless of your genital situation or other identity flags, you will be treated in all intimate sequences as a biological male, full stop, absolutely, no exception.

Edit to add: It should be noted that Half-orc and Dragonborn are always counted as having the 'strong' body type, for this purpose.

To my understanding, you can find out the answer to this question directly from Raphael himself. Of course, you have to sign a lengthy consent form that contains several clauses and addendums as well as an attached nondisclosure agreement.

Right, that's whats up. Well it kind of made sense in another scene where my strong drow picked up the companion instead of being picked while making out. So maybe that was the goal, but applied to all situations it broke other intimacy scenes.
