Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Help Tips & Tricks Soft step challenge.

I completed the soft step trial with my stealthiest character and got to the end of the quest. However I can't remember if I put the orb back in the original blood vial or if I stuck it in the one of the machines. Now wanna go back to finish the quest with my cleric, there's no longer a treasure room, there is another idol with the bowl that sends me right Back to the beginning of the quest, and it will not let me redo the quest with my character. I keep ending up at the statue. That sends me back to the very beginning. What did I do wrong? Can I fix it?

I basically can't advance pastas quest.
End as a side note question. I also messed up in the tower. Because now every guard hates me. And I can't do anything about dying at some point. Do I start over? I'd really don't want to . I have 50 hours in here.

you can only do each trial once and each one gives you a single orb... there are two machines that take orbs, one is a lift device going down to lower levels and the other opens a door

killing guards in the tower depends on what choice you make after opening/ entering that second door area... its a point of not return and you MAKE YOUR CHOICE once inside

So I'm screwed... I can't finish soft step OR I just haven't gotten the next... although she is supposed to find a spear

I just found and beat a trial to beat ourselves. It just never says quest complete maybe.... sorry all
