Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Vlaakit wants me to enter the artefact, but the astral scene is lost. (spoiler)

I'm on my 2nd playthrough. Arrived at the Githyanki chreche/Rosymorn monastery and got in a chat with queen Vlaakith.
I had to leave the game, so saved it. When I returned and restarted, the other party members were now displayed in flames, which was not the case at the time of saving. (see Lae'zel and Shadowheart in screenshot)

I agreed to enter the artefact. In my first PT, I actually went in and could choose to kill the protector or betray Vlaakith and let it live. But this time, the game continues like I betrayed Vlaakith without any cutscene of me entering the astral plane. Vlaakith's gone, and Lae'zel is now the enemy of her people , even though I agreed to do Vlaakith's bidding and didn't get the chance to betray her. Weird stuff, not seen during first PT. But I didn't have to save/reload then.

I'm on patch 4, and have some cosmetic mods + daughter of Lolth mod installed. (Don't expect these to interfere with the Vlaakith scene though.)

If thius were my first PT, I would be very confused about what happened.
