I busted Florrick out of prison after the coronation and convinced Wyll to sacrifice his soul in order to save Ravengard, but then Florrick accosts me near the Sundries, acting as if Wyll sacrificed his father. When I persuade her to stand down, she gives me the dragon quest. Next time I talk to Mizora, both Wyll and Mizora act as if Wyll decided to sacrifice his father instead.

This is on PS5.

So when you sacrifice wyll soul does Duke Ravengard appears on your camp or not?

You can always refuse to sacrifice Duke Ravengard *and* save him from the prison.

Ravengard isn't dead in my save, so he is still in prison.

I did rush to the prison to see what would happen, and that part is fine -- Mizora appears and starts helping. But I only bothered to do the rescue up to the point when Mizora appears, so I don't know how the game would handle Ravengard telling you about the dragon now.

It might be that only the interactions concerning Florrick are bugged, i.e. Florrick goes after Wyll no matter what he chooses and Mizora mocks Wyll for having sacrificed his father only in that specific conversation, but I don't know if this breaks anything down the line.

I just got this exact same bug, except I hadn't saved Florrick yet and a new NPC named COrdula Eltan showed up instead. It appears that Ravengard is alive when I go into the prison, we'll see what happens after I free the guy. So annoying how many of these quests appear to be broken in act 3.

I'm having similar issues. Helped Florrick escape and got Wyll out of his pact, as usual. On my way to rescue the duke, I was ambushed by Florrick telling me Mizora told her the duke had been sacrificed. Florrick gives me the Ansur book, speaking to me as though the duke is dead. Rescued the duke, brought him back to camp where he chatted with Wyll and gave us ANOTHER copy of the Ansur book. Looked in my inventory - no books. Now everyone is talking like the duke is dead, except he's standing five feet away and waiting for me to go find Ansur using a book that doesn't exist. I could go do the Ansur stuff anyway since I've already done all this before, but now I'm afraid I'm going to mess things up even more if I skip a step. O_O

So now the duke wants me to go rescue Florrick (right after expressing his relief that she's already been rescued). Wyll thinks his father is drowning in the Iron Throne and is demanding I go get him. Mizora thinks the duke is dead. And there's still no Ansur book in my inventory. Somehow this managed to get worse. laugh

My girlfriend encountered this exact same issue as you today, and after googling it, we were unable to find a solution until I racked my brain a little bit. If Ravengard won’t give you the book, you should take it by force. She switched to Astarion, pickpocketed him, and talked her way out of it easily when he asked about it.

The sleight of hand check was -5, so the only way you could possible fail it is if you roll a nat 1 or have some way to get -7 on a roll of 2. So you don’t even need Astarion. Just use whoever is most persuasive or deceptive for you for talking out of it.

(She is playing on easy mode, so the numbers might be different for you. If its too high otherwise, you can just switch to easy mode and take it. It was supposed to be given to you anyway, so it isn’t cheating or anything.)

I'm on PC and well into my second playthrough. The first time, I didn't encounter this bug at all. I wondered if rescuing Florrick too early might be the problem, but then Matchine mentioned the alternative NPC. To my understanding, that person accosts the party if Florrick has been executed. I busted her out of jail right after Gortash's "coronation". The first time, I didn't save her until later in Act 3. For science, I will continue my playthrough to see if Mizora actually holds up her end of the bargain, and report back.

I have a save file named "Florrick Bug" that starts just before she spawns in outside Sorcerous Sundries. I hope it might provide the devs some insight into what went wrong.

Full disclosure: I broke the pact, and then reloaded an earlier save because it didn't feel right for my Tav.
