the game is truly a masterpiece, but the character creation editor is really poor. You should add many more faces, or add the ability to edit various facial details.

i agree, despite it being huge with all the races, each race and gender's options are very limited. cant even control eyebrows nose or lips, and the options for tattoos and scars are just not good. definately need more faces hair and even body types. i dont like having to rely on mods.

Yes, I don't like mods, never used for any game, so I would really like them to add a few more faces. I tried to create more than one character, mostly human, and they all look identical to each other.

Would be amazing to have more face paints for dragonborn, and more haircuts. More of everything in general, we look at our character's face so much in this game, it'd be amazing to have more control over it.

Totally agree. I installed a mod for some additional bodytypes/faces and hairtstyle. (only applies to humans and the various elf and half-elves) but it has some side effects on other characters. (Counselor Floricks' boobs showing through her dress. Yes well it made me smile but can imagine some people won't find this funny. ) So it would be really really great if it was handled in the game itself.

I've been okay with the character creator's hair and tattoo options but I'll agree the faces should be different. For the sole purpose: I hate coming across random NPC's that have my face. If they could introduce 3 or 4 faces, preferably attractive ones that don't look like children, and ones that no other NPC has, I'd be way happier.
But I should say, this hasn't been something that actively irritates me the way other unpolished parts of that game have. I love the game as is; its excellent.
It just breaks immersion sometimes to see my identical twin I never knew I had...

I think the reason why there are limited faces is because those ones were motion captured from the actors of PitStop Productions.
If you compare the Origin Characters’ faces with their Voice Actors, though there are nuances, the resemblances lie on the distances between their cheekbones, jawlines, eyebrow points, facial dimensions and what not. That is intended to precisely map facial expressions.
If we can fully customize the dimensions of Tav’s face, most likely those key points used in mapping expressions wouldn’t line up and this game will end up like Mass Effect Andromeda, the greatest facial disaster in gaming history.
If the immersive Cinematic Dialogue feature doesn’t exist in this game, we can have unlimited faces.

In this case, I completely agree with you. I prefer to have great facial animations rather than zero expressions like in Mass Effect. However, it is also true that, although filmed by actors, the faces are few and very similar to each other (humans and elves have practically the same actors) and this has a very negative impact on the immersion. It must also be said that there is a lack of faces of mature people (like Elmister for example). I wanted to create an older wizard and it's not possible because the faces all look like 20-30 year olds and the maturity slider doesn't add much.

While I would LOVE to make an old and wise wizard, like you said, I think they may have limited the maturity due to flow reasons. It's hard to justify an old wizard being level 3 to start with and the age difference with the other companions would make some of the romances awkward. I think they were trying to be safe. That being said, there are some faces that look so young that when Halsin makes his moves on them, it's equally awkward/creepy because they look so much like children. Aging them up to mid-30's to late 40's would be an improvement in my opinion.

Of course, but the love stories are optional, as is the fact that 4 people or more escape from a ship and come together for a common purpose. On the other hand, it must be said that a role-playing game is just that, choosing what you want to be and making your own choices.

Compared with the normal Tav faces. Here is my Dark urge Drow bard: Neutral ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/qGqNmb5.jpg) Slightly happy. There were happier faces, but not halting on dialogue and they switched too fast to make a screenshot. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/BJn7h21.jpg) Angry ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/abINv8T.jpg) I think it shouldn't work out too badly to add some more in the base game, if even a mod can do this.
