I would like a bit more gruff to the voice. For Dwarves, you almost need a thick accent with the DEEP voice for the male. For the female do the same accent and just a deep female voice. Truth is you only need one voice actor for this. Find the perfect voice actor, male or female and then use AI to create the other gender of that voice.
Tbh, the default female Durge voice could fit a female dwarf or half orc and is also in the category gender fluid, I would say. I used that voice on one character and it sometimes sounded like a male, sometimes female and sometimes, I didn't really know.

Generally, yeah, more voices are always good. Since Tav/ Durge doesn't say too much, I think, it would be doable.

If a voice actor needs to be hired for our TAV that definitely needs to be Doug Cockle from Witcher 3!

Rather than responding to any specific person talking about 'politics' I just want to chime in with a simple point: the living, breathing, verifiable existence of something is just what it is. This is to say, there are more varieties of voice in the world than what is currently included in the game. Asking Larian to include voice options that reflect different languages, dialects, and accents is the same type of request.

Choosing to incorporate a greater diversity of voice options may be a political decision, but it is the same sort of decision if they decided to add more races, classes, spells, weapons, etc. "Politics" isn't a synonym for "something that I can imagine some other random person wouldn't choose to do."
